Rugby English Active Learning
(REAL) Program with SCOLAR

The Rugby English Active Learning Program is an innovative initiative organized by the Rugby For Good (RFG). This program combines the excitement of rugby with English language learning, aimed at enhancing the communication skills of young participants. By utilizing experienced native English-speaking rugby coaches, the program provides a unique environment where students can engage in physical activity while improving their language skills.

Key Objectives

The primary objective of the program is to stimulate students' interest in learning English through interactive rugby sessions. By engaging with native English coaches, students are encouraged to practice their language skills in a supportive and fun atmosphere. The program aims to:

  • Maximize participants’ utilization of English language skills: enriching and extending their language learning experience through sports participation.

  • Increase participants’ appreciation for the importance of a second language: while enhancing their confidence levels to thrive both within and outside of the school environment.

  • Foster the development of character in primary school students by instilling the core values such as teamwork, respect, and discipline through rugby.

Target Beneficiaries

Young Participants:

P4 to 6 Students aged 8 to 14 years gain valuable skills in both rugby and English communication, fostering personal growth and confidence.

Educational institutions enhance their curriculum by incorporating engaging and interactive learning experiences, promoting holistic development.
