The "Move For Good Corporate Fitness Challenge", organised by Rugby for Good, successfully concluded on Friday, 27 February 2026, at the Asphodel House (恆動館), the
largest CrossFit facility in Hong Kong, located in Kai Tak Airside. The event saw participation
from nine schools and over 100 students, supported by eight corporations in various
capacities, raising more than HK$120,000 in donations. All proceeds will be supporting
children and youths affected by the tragic fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po.
The "Move For Good Corporate Fitness Challenge" is a distinctive fitness initiative that
harnesses the power of sports and physical activity to forge connections between corporations and local communities. This annual flagship event brings together participants to promote physical and mental well-being, address societal challenges, and drive meaningful, positive change within Hong Kong's diverse communities.
This year's edition featured nine participating schools and over 100 student athletes. Eight
corporations provided support in different forms, including team participation by the Hong
Kong China Rugby (HKCR), Walkers (Hong Kong), and JEB Group; as well as sponsorship
of student teams by Ageas International Insurance Company and AO Shearman.
In the Open Team division, Cathay Pacific emerged as champions, with HKCR securing
second place. In the Student Team division, Sir Ellis Kadoorie Secondary School (West
Kowloon), fielding two teams, claimed both first and second places (with the second-place
team competing in partnership with AO Shearman). The Top Fundraising Award went to
HKCR, which raised HK$22,564.
Participating student Leung Tsun Ting, Justin, praised the event as highly meaningful and
enjoyable: "It was great fun! This competition allowed me to meet many friends from different cultures and exchange experiences with them—opportunities that are rare in other
competitions."
Mr. Rocky Chow, Chief Executive Officer of Rugby for Good, stated: "The 'Move For Good
Challenge' is one of our key annual fundraising events, designed to unite community efforts
for a greater cause. Funds raised through 'Move For Good' each year support a special
initiative of Rugby for Good.
Sports possess a unique power to connect and unite people. We are committed to
channeling this positive energy, together with the generous support of all involved, into this
profoundly meaningful initiative. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the participating schools and corporations for their trust and contributions. Your dedication and efforts are deeply appreciated.
"This year's proceeds will be dedicated to supporting children and youths in our community
who have been indirectly affected in the aftermath of the tragic fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai
Po. We remain deeply concerned for the young individuals enduring ongoing emotional
distress—whether from witnessing the incident, losing neighbours or loved ones, or living
under the lingering shadow of the tragedy. Through targeted community programmes and
activities centred on sports, we aim to accompany these young people on their journey of
emotional healing, resilience-building, and rediscovering the joy that comes from physical
movement and human connection.
